Investment and Insurance

Starting therapy is a significant commitment, and you deserve complete transparency regarding your care. I believe you should never be caught off guard by the costs of your sessions. I am committed to being honest and clear about fees before we begin our work together.

No Surprises Act

You are entitled to a full understanding of your financial investment. I provide clear information upfront so there are no unexpected costs. While I strive for total accuracy, I always encourage you to contact your insurance carrier to verify your specific coverage and benefits details.

Accepted Insurance Plans

I am currently in network with the following providers:

  • Minnesota: Aetna, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, Quest Behavioral Health, UnitedHealthcare/Optum/Medica
  • North Dakota: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota, Quest Behavioral Health, Sanford Health Plan, UnitedHealthcare/Optum/Medica
  • Ohio: Aetna, Quest Behavioral Health, UnitedHealthcare/Optum/Medica
  • Utah: Aetna, Quest Behavioral Health, Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah, UnitedHealthcare/Optum/Medica

Private Pay Rates

If you prefer to pay out of pocket, or if I am not in network with your specific plan, please inquire for self-pay rates.

Out of Network Coverage

If I am not in network with your insurance provider, you may still be able to receive reimbursement through your out of network benefits. Upon request, I can provide a Superbill. This is an itemized document containing the clinical information, such as diagnosis and procedure codes, required by insurance companies. You can submit this document directly to your insurer to seek potential reimbursement.

Pro Tip: I recommend calling the member services line on the back of your insurance card and asking: "Do I have out of network benefits for outpatient mental health, and if so, what is my reimbursement rate for a superbill?"

Payment and Cancellation Policy

I accept most major credit and debit cards. Your payment method must be securely stored in the client portal before your scheduled appointment.

Please note that appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a late cancellation fee. This policy also applies to no show appointments.
